One might say that George thinks with his stomach.

Surrounded by some of the most bountiful agricultural land in Eastern Canada, our goal was to create a space that was welcoming, glamorous and functional and that could be used to highlight all that Southwest Ontario has to offer to the truly food obsessed.

While the George does offer gourmet continental breakfasts to all its guests... 

The Dover George does not have a full service restaurant

What George does have a is a stunning kitchen that any chef would consider a joy to cook in, and an intimate entertaining space beyond compare 

This space is where we host our ongoing series of rotating

Port Dover may not be big enough of a food destination to support a bevy of award winning food establishments... yet.

In the meantime, we chose to create a space where we could invite exciting new or established culinary talent to offer food experiences that delight educate and inspire.  

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Multi-course pop-up dinners

  • Cocktail evenings

  • Product launches & tastings

  • Blind tasting menus

  • Educational sessions

  • Demos & Discovery

Young guns or industry veterans, it's not about the years on your resume or notches in your belt. It's about what you create and how it makes people feel. So please reach out if you think you can put together something fabulous. We'd rather let the food do the talking anyway. 

BEVERAGE CONNOISSEURS

Vintners, brewers, distillers and all around beverage experts, show us what you can do. Whether we stock your products in our mini bars or cellar, work with our food purveyors to create food experience pairings to complement what you want to show off  or make you the star of the show, the potential opportunities to work with us at the George are unlimited.

MAKERS, PRODUCERS
& IMPORTERS

Heritage breeds, heirloom produce, artisanal confections, hand made products or unique imports, if you create or distribute something wonderful that you think we could help you show off, let us know. 

FOOD & BEVERAGE EDUCATORS

Those who do, should teach! Do you have a special or unique skill in the food and beverage space that you are willing to share with others? The George is always looking for talented and personable individuals to teach intimate, innovative and inspiring educational  sessions in a setting unlike any other.
